Belizeans are valued only in General Elections

Why does the Government of Belize simply ignore the questions and concerns of Belizeans? I hope that Belizeans don`t continue to sort to violence to get some government attention. The last two incident affiliated to government ministers, the theft of Mr. Perdomo constituency office and the shooting of the private vehicle of Mr. Martinez ^boots^, is a clear call to the Ministers that Belizeans are getting frustrated and tired of the Government continuous negligence to the citizens concerns. I reflected in the past weeks that a revolution against the minister was imminent; it will not be a surprise if Belizeans take justice in their own hands against the criminals and against the selected corrupted government officials.

I further stress, it would not be a surprise if the criminals systematically target those corrupted public officials that are getting richer whilst most Belizeans are getting poorer.

Nepotism will become a common word in Belize if there is no control over the government. The most evident corruption activities are from the Prime Minister who has a long sheet that can be discussed. To quickly illustrate, Loise Young (ex-wife of PM) received more than half a million dollar to represent the GOB in court; Liose Young and her son are members of the board of directors for BTL (i wonder how much they are paid); the PM son is in the senate; brother in a high position in the judicial system; and the list can go on…Don`t Belize has other qualified persons to hold the position mentioned? It seems that in Belize, there is a BARROWIZATION in the three branches of government (executive, legislative, and judicial) Is this the way to promote the transparency and accountability that Barrow Administration claim?

Any public policy should hub around the citizens; not selected clients but the general masses. Moreover, any public policy should be transparent and government officials held accountable. We need more laws to prevent and punish any mismanagement of public funds. I have a question, To Whom It May Concern, and I wish an answer and not allow my anger and frustration to grow: Is the constitution of Belize the supreme law of Belize? I recommend the Government to delete CHAPTER 4/ PART 1/ Section 1 (1) (2) of the Constitution of Belize if Belize is not a sovereign State.Why are we going to waste resources (time and money) in the International Court of Justice (ICJ)? What can Guatemala lose? Because I can clearly tell you that Belize have nothing to win but lose some land.
